Just call me "Mom: Saver of Lives"

Last night's instant messaging session with my PSU son:

Ben:     Could you do me a humongous favor?

Me:      Sure. What do you need?

Ben:    I'm studying for a test and haven't really had a chance to go in to town and don't really have time to so, could you hook me up with some delivery?

Ben:     It's one of those two tests a semester ordeals.

Me:      Sure...want me to order a pizza?

Ben:     Hold on let me see what good brain food is.

Me:      LOL

Ben:     Looks like carbs are the answer so pizza will work.

Me:      I'll order it now.

Ben:     Thanks so much. You're saving lives. I tried a can of soup but those things just aren't enough they only have like 300 calories.

Me:      Love you Ben!

Ben:     Love you too.

Me:      I'm glad I could save your life. Anytime you need saving, just let me know.

Ben:     Oh...anchovies. Don't forget the anchovies.

Me:      Brain food?

Ben:     Nope. I just like them.

LOL, the things we do for our kids! When mine come home for a visit, I always send them back with a box a food. You'd think they were helpless! But it makes ME feel better!

Son texting from college in North Carolina:
"Mom - could you order and pay for a sub from TC?"

Mom answering from Connecticut: "Sure"

Son "Thanks - tell them I'll be there in 15 minutes!"

Sorry to say, this happened more than once.... and I'm also pretty sure my son IS helpless...

Too funny. What good mommies we are!

It's sooo nice to know that I'm not the only one ordering food from miles away!
